Vessel was missing 06 required portable extinguishers; Towing vessels greater than 65' in length must carry three 40-B:C extinguishers on board. Also, one 40-B portable fire extinguishers fitted in the engine room for each 1,000 brake horsepower of the main engines or fraction thereof is required. Vessel requires 03 40-B portable fire extinguishers fitted in the engine room space.

Resolution: Vessel switched out the 03 portable extinguisher for the engine room with 03 40:B. Vessel has 05 10:B:C also onboard. Def Cleared.
The vessel did not have the electronic TVR on board and available to the master for use, it was removed from the vessel. A towing vessel must maintain a TVR or IAW the TSMS applicable to the vessel.
