Calculations must account for the weight of all loads carried aboard the vessel. Obtain approved weight change calculations from the Marine Safety Center in accordance with MTN 04-95 for the starboard side lifesaving davit.

The cognizant OCMI may require that a vessel and its equipment undergo any additional test or inspection deemed reasonable and necessary to determine that the vessel and its equipment are suitable for the service in which they are to be employed. Conduct a man overboard drill utilizing the newly installed lifesaving davit and Jason's Cradle.

An enclosed passenger accommodation space must be ventilated by a power ventilation system unless natural ventilation in all ordinary weather conditions is satisfactory to the [name withheld] the plywood from the current natural ventilation outlet at the "ticket booth" to provide for adequate ventilation of the passenger accomodation space on the 01 deck.

PSTPs and DVTPs of newly installed control station conducted using updated procedures. Resubmit updated QFA/DVTP/PSTP with field notes for final review and approval per MSC Letter Serial:E2-2300579 dated February 16, 2023.

Vessel RACE POINT lost electronic throttle control: code 322 loss of station2, on their port engine during their transit from Fishers Island, NY to New London, CT. USCG MI must witness satisfactory power trial prior to departure.

Provide technical reports from the engine manufacturer and throttle system manufacturer attesting to proper operation.

Vessel's starboard engine shut down while in transit from Fisher's Island NY to New London, CT. The battery to the ECU was cycled and the computer was reset resulting in the ability to re-start the starboard engine. Once started the Twin Disc electronic throttles would not operate (no throttle response). The vessel had no throttle in the forward or reverse positions. Vessel management is required to have Cummings and Twin Disc attend the vessel to complete a diagnostic check of the electronic systems and make permanent repairs to the throttle/engine interface. Upon determining the cause of the problem, the responsible manufacturer (Twin Disc or Cummings) shall provide a written causal analysis outlining the cause of the malfunction and the permanent solution/repair.

Submit QFA, DVTP and PSTS to MSC for approval
