Each life-jacket shall be suitably marked showing it has been approved by the Administration. USCG type approved SOLAS life-jackets (160.155) are required by ABS ACP Supplement. Cargo Ship Safety Equipment Certificate (Form E) requires vessel to have 41 life-jackets. Only 23 SOLAS (160.155) life-jackets were on board at time of inspection. The life-jackets in use were 160.055 (non-SOLAS approved) life-jackets.
