A dry dock examination conducted in compliance with 46CFR115.600 of this part must be conducted while the vessel is hauled out of the water... During the examination all accessible parts of the vessel's underwater body and all through hull fittings, including the hull plating, appendages, propellers, shafts, hearings, rudders, sea chests, sea valves and sea strainers shall be made available for examinations. MI discovered both Port and STBD lower rudder, and strut bearings to be worn. Replace both rudder bearings, and strut bearings prior to credit dry. Due to dry dock availability and parts, vessel is permitted to operate with passengers no later than 31 OCTOBER 2022. At which date, vessel's dry docking date expires, and operation with passengers is not permitted until repairs have been made. If steering, or propulsion, shafting changes, notification to the USCG must be made.
