It was also noted the SIP correction report had not been created/logged when the deficiency was identified by the crew. Have electrician service the panel before shifting to shore power that could will lead to the improper operation of the switchboard. Bulkhead and decks of the A class shall be composed of steel or equivalent metal construction. In addition they shall be so insulated with approved structural insulation that the average temperature on the unexposed side would not rise more than 250 F above the original temperature nor would the temperature at any point, including any joint, rise more than 325 F above the original temperature within the time A-60 or minutes. Install approved structural insulation in auxiliary space to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard marine inspector.

E-light on second deck battery had failed. Each vessel must have adequate emergency lighting fitted along the line of escape to the main deck from all passenger and crew accommodation spaces located below the main deck.
The emergency lighting required of this section must automatically actuate upon failure of the main lighting system. If a vessel is not equipped with a single source of power for emergency lighting, it must have individual battery powered lights. Install new battery to so that the e-light automatically light when there is a loss of power to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.
