Each battery used in an item of lifesaving equipment, except for inflatable survival craft equipment, must be replaced during the annual inspection if the expiration date of the battery has passed. Two waterlights on both buoyant apparatus are expired. Replace with approved battery listed on the waterlight container, to the satisfaction of the marine inspector. Until new batteries are installed, check to ensure waterlights are operable prior to getting underway.
