The following locations in the weather are Class I, Division 1 (Zone 1) locations and may have only approved intrinsically safe, explosionproof, or purged and pressurized electrical equipment, and through runs of marine shipboard cable if the location is - within 10 feet (3m) of a cargo tank pipe flange. Vessel's electrical equipment installation (including but not limited to generator set, electric motors, batteries, and electrical instrumentation devices) does not meet the exlosionproof or intrinsically safe criteria and is located within 10 feet of a cargo tank pipe flange. Currently, vessel's Cargo Authority Attachment authorizes to carry Grades A and lower cargoes. Vessel needs to either: relocate electrical equipment outside hazardous zone, show objective evidence that current electrical equipment meets the explosionproof or intrinsically safe required by regulations, or resubmit an application to the Marine Safety Center to update the Cargo Authority Attachment to reflect the cargoes the vessel is approved to carry. Until then, vessel is only authorized to carry cargoes with a flash-point below 60 degrees celsius. Vessel is given 30 days from the issuance of this CG-835V to rectify non-conformity. 46 CFR 111.105-31(a)&(l)

INSTALL PUMP ENGINE REMOTE SHUTDOWN SIGN AND SUB "O" WARNING SIGN. TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO PLACING BARGE IN SERVICE AND IN NO CASE LATER THAN THE ASSIGNED COMPLIANCE DATE.

STENCIL OR INSTALL DECALS FOR FUEL OIL TANK AND CARGO TANK "DANGER KEEP OUT" MARKINGS. TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO PLACING BARGE IN SERVICE AND IN NO CASE LATER THAN THE ASSIGNED COMPLIANCE DATE.

INSTALL APPROVED EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR THE CARGO PUMP ENGINE. TO BE COMPLETEDPRIOR TO PLACING BARGE IN SERVICE AND IN NO CASE LATER THAN THE ASSIGNED COMPLIANCE DATE.

PAINT DRAFT MARKS, HAILING PORT AND RED WARNING FLAG. TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO PLACING BARGE IN SERVICE AND IN NO CASE LATER THAN THE ASSIGNED COMPLIANCE DATE.

PROVIDE OIL TRANSFER PROCEDURES AND SYSTEM LINE DIAGRAM FOR COAST GUARD REVIEW. TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO PLACING BARGE IN SERVICE AND IN NO CASE LATER THAN THE ASSIGNED COMPLIANCE DATE.
