Observed during steering test of resue boat, the rudder did not respond to steering inputs. Rescue boat steering is inoperable.

Resolution: Crew did dismantle steering assembly for rescue boat, cleaned and greased the
steering ram. New stainless steel locking pin replaced for steering control ram as original pin had corroded
and wasted away. Steering demonstrated for attending DNV GL Survey

The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons onboard. High pressure fuel line on main engine cylinder #1 showed signs of excessive leakage. M/E cylinder #1 forward high pressure fuel line had oil residue on protective jacketing, oil was pooled on top of fuel pump, and dried oil was observed on top of injector.
