VSL sustained damage to STBD quarter following an allision which caused the bottom edge of a ventilation fixture to come loose from the house and expose a down flooding risk. On a vessel on a protected route, a watertight coaming with a height of at least 3 inches must be provided. Restore vessel up to standard and make vessel ready for a CG inspector to attend for a damage survey.
