Means of escape shall be marked by lighting or photoluminescent strip indicators placed not more than 300mm above the deck at all points of the escape route including angles and intersections. Low location lighting outside of sauna was found not operational.

The public address system shall be one complete system consisting of a loudspeaker installation which enables simultaneous broadcast of messages to all spaces where crew members or passengers are normally present and to assembly stations. The public address system is not operational due to failure of the amplifier - 74 SOLAS(1997) III/6.5.2 - 16bc

Every oil fuel pipe, which, if damaged, would allow oil to escape from a storage, settling or daily service tank situated above the double bottom, shall be fitted with a cock, or valve directly on the tank capable of being closed from a safe position outside of the space concerned in the event of a fire occuring in the space in which such tanks are situated. Valve 35 (fuel oil to separator from day tank).
