The maximum throughput of the OWS as stated by the users manual is 2.5 cubic meters per hour. Vessel to have class society attend and rectify discrepancy between IOPP certificate and actual rated capacity of the OWS.

Any ship 10000 gross tonnage and above shall be fitted with oil filtering equipment complying with paragraph 7 of this section. The system shall be provided with arrangements to ensure any discharge of oily mixtures is automatically stopped when effluent exceeds 15 ppm. 15 ppm alarm could not be tested during vessel examination due to a part needing replacement. Vessel shall not operate OWS until proper testing can be completed. MARPOL 2017 Annex 1 Reg 14.2
