Issued 29 August 2025
Resolved
At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification of a vessel, the owner or managing operator shall be prepared to conduct tests and have the vessel ready for inspections of the hull structure and its appurtenances.
MI observed multiple areas of hull cracks with evidence of water intrusion/corrosion/ wood rot along the port and starboard keels, sterns, sheer clamps, maindeck & bottom shell. Main deck, deck seating, and bulkheads had several areas of severe wastage.
Due to the poor condition of the vessel hull, owner/operator are required to submit a survey report limited to the hull and main deck structure, including a repair proposal and scope of work, prior to MI completing drydock exam.
