During a recent SMC audit, it was observe that the vessel was not complying with the applicable US Code.

All vessels must submit NOAAs within the time required in 33 CFR 160.212. Vessel did not submit a NOA with 96 hours for its arrival to Port Canaveral, Florida.

Hydrogen container is missing its venting system as described in Space Perspective's Launch and Retrieval, Doc number: LRS-00000003, Rev. 02.3, ADDENDUM Rev .03, Section 11.2 "Safety relief devices" Vessel shall not get underway with container on board until the venting system can be verified by the CG attending marine inspector.

Vessel is prohibited from Hydrogen transfer operations to the space balloon until verification of required items listed in item 12 of DBA P-2023-03-01T090141 March 15, 2024 have been completed by the attending marine inspector. Vessel must prove to the satisfaction of the attending marine that all hydrogen piping/tubing meets the specifications as cited in item 12 of the DBA.

Vessel is prohibited from Hydrogen transfer operations to the space balloon until verification of required items listed in item 13 of DBA P-2023-03-01T090141 March 15, 2024 have been completed by CG-ENG-5. Once CG-ENG-5 has confirmed that the verification is complete, an on-site verification of item 13 in the referenced DBA must be completed by the attending Coast Guard marine inspector.
