The purpose of this regulation is to suppress and swiftly extinguish a fire in the space of origin, except for paragraph 1.2... Fire extinguishing appliances shall be readily available. Foam analysis report is invalid. Submit report within 30 days.

If a ship is fitted with marine evacuation systems (MES), drills shall include exercising of the procedures for the deployment of such a system up to the point immediately preceding actual deployment of the system. This aspect of drills should be augmented by regular instruction using the on-board training aids required by regulation 35.4. Additionally every system party member shall, as far as practicable, be further trained by participation in a full deployment of a similar system into water, either on board a ship or ashore, at intervals of not longer than two years, but in no case longer than three years. This training can be associated with the deployments required by regulation 20.8.2. There is clear evidence that servicing of the MES is occurring on the rotational basis required by 8.2 and training videos and crew ability is present, however there is no implementation of SMS tracking or routine training to keep the crew current on the installed MES which could be problematic should a full MILDET be assigned on short notice.SOLAS III/19.3.3.8

Vessel has removed marine evacuation system (MES) to prevent damage during Panama Canal lock passages. Persons on board reduced to 100 until reinstallation.

Alarm system for OWS (Alpha Laval, Pure Bilge 2515) audible alarm is not exhibiting in ECR.

SOLAS 74/78 Chapter IV, Regulation 8, 9, and 10: Have current ship to station publication for DSC tests for respective areas.

Port steering system follow-up failure, circuit board failure with no spare onboard. Non-follow -up on port side is fully operational.

Gouges were found in the forward and aft portion of the port side hull of the #1 lifeboat, caused by swinging into the davit cradle. Def write-up: Make proper repairs to hull of #1 lifeboat.

Replace broken floodlight for rescue boat.

Provide repair report from a certified technician and demonstrate proper operation of the steering gear in all modes.

The Course Selector Repeater at the helm is not following the Gyro Compass.

Replace master valve bypass valve on LP CO2 tank. Space restricted from personnel access without vessel master permission.

Complete fire and abandon ship drills in presence of the USCG.

Test operation of all Water tight doors from the bridge.

Complete PSTP and Safety shut-downs of the generators and main propulsion.

Repair holes found on the No. 2 Life boat. 1 hole is located where the original keel cooler foundation bolts mid-body, and the other is under the reinforcement plate. Examine all life boats and the rescue boat.

Re-submitted requirement to reflect new due date. Vessel sustained damage to bulbous bow, damage was inspected, NDT and hose tested at time of damage. Damage was reinspected during UWILD (27Jun2006) and found no further propagation or evidence of leaking. Ships force conducts quarterly inspection of damage. This item will be repaired no later than at next dry-docking (27JUN2008).

Conduct repairs to pitted areas in way of engine room oily water separating tank and cargo hold oily water separating tank.

Found flex air and water hoses permanently mounted to potable water tanks and evap chemical tank. Remove flex hoses and install hard piping.

Found oxygen and acetylene tanks not in racks under the bridge wing. Remove or install proper storage racks.

Found worn operating instructions at life rafts stations. Install legible instructions.

Make permanent repairs to puncture in stern at frame 6-139-0 and monitor affected void space by daily inspections until such repairs are made.
