Each ring life buoy with a floating waterlight msut have a lanyard of 3-6ft in length. Upper deck forward floating waterlight lanyard is not the proper length. Replace the same.

Flexible non-metallic hose in fluid power systems must not penetrate watertigth bulkheads or decks. The flexible hose running from the hydraulic tank to the hydraulic pump in way of the bow thruster penetrates a watertight deck. Properlly install the same.

Each hatch cover must be attached to the fram or coaming by hinges or captive chains. Provide a captive chain for the forepeak deck hatch.

All electrical installations must be to the satisfaction of the OCMI. The switchboard in the steering space does not full close. Repair the same.

All electrical installations must be to the satisfaction of the [name withheld] dead end wiring from 1. Port side forward most bench, main deck. 2. Starboard stern overhead. 3. Beneath operating station. 4. Laundry room, fwd, starboard, overhead.

The inspector shall examine all accessible parts of the hull. There is a small hole in the watertight deck, port side, aft, salon, above the engine compartment.

An adult lifejacket must be provided for each person onboard. Marine Inspectors rejected 30 Type I lifejackets. Repair or replace the same. Vessel is limited to the carriage of 127 persons pending completion.

Each ring life buoy on a vessel must be approved in accordance with 160.050 subchapter Q. The STBD ring buoy line is deteriorated.

Every annual inspection, quarters, toilets and washing spaces may be examined for serviceability. The PVC pipe in the FWD Compartment is melted from contact with heat tape. Replace pipe.

Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed and maintained to protect passengers, crew, other persons from electrical hazards. Remove the heat tape from pumps in the FWD compartment.

Explosion proof equipment and intrinsically safe systems must meet the requirements in subchapter J. Remove the sump pump from the FWD sewage tank.

For fixed-gas fire extinguishing systems, the inspections and tests required by Table 176.810(b) of this section, in addition to the tests required by 46 CFR 147.60 and 147.65. The owner or managing operator must provide satisfactory evidence of the required servicing to the marine inspector. If any of the equipment or records have not been properly maintained, a qualified servicing facility may be required to perform the required inspections, maintenance procedures, and hydrostatic pressure tests. Master did not have current fixed firefighting servicing records onboard. Master was able to provide them prior to inspection completion.

Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed and maintained to: (b) Protect passengers, crew, other persons, and the vessel from electrical hazards, including fire, caused by or originating in electrical equipment, and electrical shock. Discovered several electrical wiring deficiencies including junction box not mounted behind the bar, daisy chained outlet multipliers behind bar, exposed wiring on poert and starboard generator starting battery cables, and exposed wiring on port main engine starting battery bank.

Repairs or alterations to the hull, machinery, or equipment that affect the safety of the vessel must not be made without the approval of the cognizant OCMI, except during an emergency. Submit electrical plans for the new electric range installation in the galley for approval.

Sea rails, with suitable barriers to prevent accidental movement of cooking pots, must be installed on a cooking range. Install sea rails on electric range in galley.

The number of penetrations in a watertight bulkhead must be minimized. A penetration in a watertight bulkhead must be as high and as far inboard in the bulkhead as practicable, and made watertight. Heat detector penetration on port aft bulkhead is not watertight.

01-Rudder angle indicator t-box on STBD side wire is pulled from stuffing tube.
