On U.S. inspected ships, oily water seperating equipment and bilge alarms must be approved under 46 CFR 162.050 Marine Inspector found the on-board OWS system did not have a Oil Content Meter as required by approval.

All piping systems shall be examined under working conditions as required by the marine inspector. The potable water port to starboard crossover pipe was holed and temp repaired with rubber material and three hose clamps. Make permanent repairs to the satisfaction of attending CG marine inspector.

Structures that are located on or above the line of the uppermost complete deck that are under cover (sheltered), but open to the weather are exempt from tonnage as open space. The following additional requirements apply: -an interior or exterion opening that is temporarily closed by cover plates or boards held in place only by hook bolts is considered open to the weather, if hook bolts used to secure cover plates or boards are spaced at least one foot apart and hook over stiffener installed around the perimeter of the opening; if the cover plates or board fit tightly against the weather side of the bulkhead and; if battening, caulking or gaskets of any material are not used. The tonnage opening leading into the accommodation spaces is missing two hook bolts and the cover plating is caulked around all sides. Remove all caulking material and at next drydock (2024) make all tonnage openings available for further inspection by attending CG marine inspector to ensure all hook bolts are in sufficient condition and in place.

EPIRB stowed in a manner so that it will float free if the vessel sinks. EPIRB was stowed in go to bag in the skin of the ship due to outside bracket failure.

Gskets shall be made of materials which are not injuriously affected by the fluid or by temperature. Fuel oil #2 pump gasket failed and leaking

Lighting for stairways, passageways and escapeways in machinery spaces and work spaces adequate to permit passangers and crew readily to find their wasy to open decks and to lifeboat embarkation and assembly points with all watertight doors and fire screen doors closed. Emergency lighting was insufficient on STBD side of engine room.

Non-metallic flexible hoses must meet SAE J1942. Non metallic flexible hose was damaged and ineffective.

essel shall maintain an EPRIB IAW 47 CFR Subpart 80. Vessel had the incorrect MMSI number registered. 46 CFR 94.60-1 (Old I)

Vessel shall have Safety Relief Valves serviced twice in five years, not to exceed three years. Vessel had the Safety Relief Valves serviced in DEC 2019.

Vessel shall have four service lines for each shoulder gun line-throwing appliance. Vessel only had three service lines available. 46 CFR 94.45-15(b)(3) (Old I)

Vessel shall maintain matt black screens for navigation lights. The port side screen had an area that was wasted and had white primer around the wasted section.

Life Preservers must have a personal flotation device light IAW 46CFR161.012. Vessel had two non-operational lights attached to personal floatation devices in the spare lightjacket locker. 46 CFR 94.42-1 (Old I)

Vessel shall ensure that the ground detection for the ship's service power system is operational. Vessel's ground detection was not operational.

Fire detection shall be operational. Vessel's kitchen smoke dectector was not operational with the cover and battery removed. 46 CFR 95.05-1 (Old I)

Vessel shall ensure the gauges are operational for the main or auxiliary engines. Vessel's starboard generator's jacket water temperature was not working.
