1899-Other (tankers)-Each cargo tank of a tankship must be equipped w/an intrinsically safe high-level & tank overfill (HL/OF) alarms, & must activate a visible & audible alarm so it can be seen & heard on deck. PSCOs tested several HL/OF alarms on deck w/no visible or audible alarm activated. Alarms were in working order in Cargo Control Room. Cite: 49CFR39.2007(d)(3)
