All tank vessels, the construction or conversion of which is started on or after July 1, 1951, shall conform to the requirements in this subpart in construction of hulls. CHEM 273 presents hull damage to the shell plating near the stbd number three void hatch. Damage consists of an approximate 3’ (length) x 5” (depth) inset with an 11” x 3” through hull puncture into the void space. Temporary repairs were conducted on site utilizing epoxy. vessel plans to transit to Houston, TX to conduct permanent repairs.
