Vessel's suffered a loss of propulsion due to a sheared coupling on one of the MDE's lub oil camshaft pump. The crew replaced one coupling on the pump side. The condition of the pump side coupling appears the teeth are worn thin. The ship has two L/O camshaft pumps that are alternated on a monthly basis. Resolution: Class attended the vessel and determined that the water leaks were due to MDE not being up to temperature. H20 consumption log showed that 3 ltr. of H20 was consumed daily which is acceptable. Electrical motor on aux blower was found to be sealed.
