The bilge high level alarm in both the MSD Void and the engine room were spliced using either electrical tape or crimped butt connectors, within the bilge and below the deck plate. Because of this one of the wires for the bilge alarm in the engine room was discovered separated from the connector and found submerged in the bilge water. Make proper splice connections to ensure the splices will not separate and be watertight.
