Each watertight door and hatch must comply with the requirements of 46 CFR 174. Each hatch exposed to the weather must be watertight. The vessel’s port side engine room escape hatch was showing light after crew dogged it down and could not be made watertight.

Where pressure indicating gauges are used, in no case shall the upper range of the gauge be less than 1.2 times nor more than 2 times the pressure at which the relieving device is set to function. Three air receivers within the machinery space had incorrectly sized pressure gauges. All three gauges were replaced while in attendance with those of correct size.

Vessel allided with the Bayou Sale Bridge resulting in damage to the vessel’s mast. Repairs need to be conducted to return the mast back to it's original condition.
