Repairs or alterations to machinery, or equipment that affect the safety of the vessel must not be made without the approval of the cognizant OCMI, except during an emergency. Repairs or alterations that affect the safety of the vessel include steering. The cognizant OCMI may require that a vessel and its equipment undergo any additional test or inspection deemed reasonable and necessary to determine that the vessel and its equipment are suitable for the service in which they are to be employed. Following marine casualty, attended vessel and determined Hydraulic steering linkage for starboard bucket had come apart. Examined intact port linkage and noticed there was no fastener installed to secure linkage together. Provide drawings that detail the bucket linkage to determine manufacturer's design. Test steering system to the satisfaction of attending Marine Inspector prior to carriage of passengers.

Conduct Man Overboard and Fire Drills to the satisfaction of an attending USCG Marine Inspector.

Prove proper operation of the throttles the CG inspector attending.

Vessel must remove both water tanks onboard used to haul water by 19OCT19. Vessel’s Stability letter date Nov 22, 2011 issued by MSC does not allow any deck cargo only Passengers. If company which to continue to hauling water and other cargo submit plans and drawing to MSC for review as per 46 CFR 178.230 (a)(2) and (b).

Provide prove that annual servicing has been completed on both Pre-Engineered fixed gas extinguishing systems or complete annual servicing if it has not been completed.

Replace the line for the floating water light and replace the lifeline

3. Provide Alcohol testing equipment onboard for each crew member onboard

Conducted underway abandon ship, man overboard and fire drill with Coast Guard Inspectors prior to carrying passengers

Vessel must conduct and log drills every month if reasonable, but at least once every three months before getting underway with passengers.

Replace all expired items in first aid kit

Repair port side engine room water tight gasket on hatch

Repair exhaust cooling water leak on port side main engine.

Fix exhaust lagging on both main engines to protect personal from hot surfaces.

Remove all dead end wire in both engine rooms. Starboard side by aft hatch. Port side by both fwd and aft hatches.

Install permanent draft marks/max loading mark as listed on vessels Stability Letter prior to starting next season

Repair engine exhaust leak on starboard engine in the area of the turbo.

Repair or renew starboard main diesel engine as a result of catastrophic cylinder/crankcase failure.

Drills required to be conducted in the spring.

Demonstrate the proper operation of the STBD side, FWD masthead, and stern light.

Demonstrate proper operation of all installed bilge pumps.

Demonstrate proper operation of all bilge high level alarms.

Renew or replace two excessivley corroded portable extinguishers IWO of ER accesses.

Prove proper operation of both ER pre-engineered fire suppression systems.

Prove proper operation of the vessel's installed fire pump or provide alternate means

Lock out marine sanitation device ovbd discharge when within 3nm of shore.

Provide metal wire/cable supports for main longitudinal wire runs in both hulls.

Drills required to conducted in the spring.

Provide gaskets for the port forepeak and port forward engine room deck hatches.

Port engine room FM-200 fire suppression system in excessively corroded. Service or renew bottle.

Repair main deck exterior hatch covers to ensure they are watertight. 46CFR179.360(a)

Remove sea chest screens on the bottom of the hull and remove marine growth. 46 CFR 182

Install means on main deck exterior hatch covers to prevent loss. 46CFR179.360(b)

01 missing Adult type 1 PFD

Fire pump inoperable

Piping and valve handles in stbd engine room are corroded and wasted. Remove corrsion and repair.

Prive proper operation of lights in stbd engine room

Prive proper operation of stbd fwd bilge alarm

Remove all excess oil and water in stbd engine room.

Drills will be conducted in the spring

Vessel must complete a satisfactory credit dry-dock exam prior to carry passengers.
