Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel and safety of persons onboard under normal and emergency conditions. Vessel experienced an electrical surge, crew investigated found a small fire coming from the port generators electrical end. Vessel shall notify TPO and effect repairs to the satisfaction of the RO. Vessel is authorized a one time transit to [name withheld] to effect repairs.
