Resolution: Vessel had current Coast Pilot, light list, tide tables and navigation chart of operating area. Instructed vessel rep and crew on maintaining charts up to date based on LNMs.

Fire Detection System shall be installed, tested, and maintained IAW manufacturer's manual and arranged so fire in ER automatically notifies operating station. Vessels' Fire Detection System was disabled by crew by removing leads to battery and panel until MIs questioned the operation of the Fire Detection System. Master connected the battery and leads; system was operational when MIs left the vessel. Update: Vessel's fire detection failed and was replaced during the week of 14 FEB 2022. MI waiting on tech report and PE letter.

Resolution: Conducted test of fire alarm panel with Heat detector in E/R and smoke in berthing, both sat and with audible/visual alarm. Crew demonstrated knowledge of fire alarm panel functions.
