The marine inspector may determine that it is necessary to remove a liftboats legs at any time based upon other inspection results or observed damage.
Vsl was involved in a major marine incident. All legs are visibly bent. Aft leg was observed to be rotating in the tower during jacking operations. All three (03) legs shall be pulled and made available for internal and external examination.

Vessel operator reported the Port Bow Crane (Nautilus, Model: 7000L) sustained a fire in mechanical pump room cone rendering the crane none operational. Operational use of the port bow crane is restricted until repairs can be completed to the satisfaction of a authorized crane certifying authority, testing and inspections are completed in accordance with the relevant API standards and witnessed by U.S. Coast Guard Marine Inspector or another authorized authority in accordance with 46 CFR 107.259.
