Master reported that vessel starboard shaft fractured in two and needs replacement. Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of th towing vessel and the safety of persons onboard under normal and emergency conditions. Vessel shall proceed to C&B Marine Shipyard to make repairs to the satisfaction of Coast Guard Marine inspector.
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
