Vessel reported losing propulsion and power just prior to entering the Sault Locks. Chief Engineer was unable to determine cause and make proper repairs while on the lock wall. Vessel is allowed to depart Sault Ste. Marie, MI under tug escort through the St. Marys River to Thunder Bay, ON. Vessel must determine the cause of the loss of power and propulsion to the satisfaction of Class/Flag, and share that with the U.S. Coast Guard, Sector Sault Ste. Marie prior to returning to the U.S.
