Due to a collision with another vessel, the shell side found indented approximately 2.5m above the waterline in way of frame 76-80 (DB Ballast Tank No. 4) and between side tank lower sloping stringer and upper stringer. The shell was set in approximately 250 mm, extent approximately 3m x2m. Internals in way distorted/buckled. CC issued to repair by due date.

Vessel allided with the makeshift barge pier at Vulcan Materials dock while mooring up. The damage was a gash about 10ft long, of which, about 3 ft penetrating into the fore peak tank, also damaged two frames. Lloyds Register (Class society) conducted a damage survey and stated the vessel was safe enough to transit to Houston. Repaired to be completed Prior to departure.
