Scantlings, material, and workmanship, subdivision of cargo spaces, fitting of cofferdams, and testing of thanks shall be at least equivalent to the requirements of the American Bureau of Shipping or another recognized classification society. The IB 967 grounded at MM 595 on the LMR bringing into question the vessels material condition. Prove the vessel is fit for continued service and route prior to cargo operations to the satisfaction of the local OCMI.
