The construction and arrangement of a vessel must allow the safe operation of the vessel in accordance with the terms of its Certificate of Inspection giving consideration to provisions for a seaworthy hull, protection against fire, means of escape in case of a sudden unexpected casualty, guards and rails in hazardous places, ventilation of enclosed spaces, and necessary facilities for passengers and crew.
An Internal Structural Exam was conducted for purpose of drydock extension. During the inspection, sections of bow ramp were noted with wastage. Vsl rep provided bill of materials for replacing ramp in kind. Vsl rep proposed continuation of operations without loaded trucks. MI made recommendation to OCMI to accept proposal until drydock extension due date of 31Dec2025.
In consideration with the overall satisfactory material condition of the vessel, [name withheld] may continue operations but without loaded trucks of any kind; including dump trucks, fuel trucks, garbage trucks, cargo trucks, etc. until 31Dec2025. Owner is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the vessel.
