Port MDE was secured and vessel authorized to anchor at Point Peelee Park (MSU Toledo's AOR) to conduct diagnosis and repair. Crew disassembled the clutch assembly and replaced pressure plates and friction pads. Port MDE and clutch were satisfactorily tested while underway from Point Peelee Park, Canada to the entrance of the Detroit River with no issues noted. Accepted objective evidence in the form of statements from master and Chief Engineer and satisfactory operation of Port MDE.
