During vessel's ISE, MIs witnessed excessive pitting and deteriorated welds in way of keel. An area approximately 12'x30' was marked by USCG and ABS to under go ultrasonic testing. Results show significant wastage of seam welds and bottom shell plating in the sample area as much as 75%. Vessel is restricted from carrying passengers until a plan is approved by a USCG Marine Inspector.
