Vsl Rep reported vessel was taking on water in the port side bow rake. The vessel has been both in satisfactory service insofar as structural adequacy is concerned and does not cause the structure of the vessel to be question by the OCMI. Vessel will receive temp repairs tested to the satisfaction of the marine surveyor for the affected area. Inspect all compartment daily, inspected affected compartment four times each day, have electric pump onboard the vessel for de-watering. If there are any changes to the damage area contact the local OCMI.

Vessel representative determined to have vessel transit to drydock without notifying the local OCMI until 03/17/21 putting the vessel, crew and port at risk of an actively flooding vessel. If the master or officer in charge of a navigational watch believes it is unsafe for the vessel to proceed, that an operation endangers the vessel or crew, or that an unsafe condition exists, he or she must ensure that adequate corrective action is taken and must not proceed until it is safe to do so. Vessel shall maintain its mooring at Aqua Marina Boat Ramp MM 464 Ohio River until permitted to proceed with a towing assist vessel approved by Coast Guard MSD Cincinnati. Once approved to proceed to C&B shipyard Hebron KY vessel representative shall make repairs to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.
