Cargo ships shall carry one or more totally enclosed lifeboats complying with the requirements of the code with aggregate capacity on each side as will accommodate the total number of persons on board. Vessel must repair, weight test, and preform operational demonstration of No. 4 Lifeboat Davit Winch. ABS may issue short term Safety Equipment Certificate for the purpose of completing this requirement at the vessels next port of call (Norfolk, VA) in which it must be completed to satisfaction of the attending ABS Surveyor. Vessel may not carry more than 99 total persons onboard until full-term Safety Equipment Certificate is issued.

The following fire protection systems shall be kept in good order so as to ensure their required performance if a fire occurs: structural fire protection, including fire resisting divisions and protection of openings and penetrations in these divisions. 1) MCT at MJD-01-57-2 has missing fire stop, reducing fire rating of Class A bulkhead. 2) multiple fire screen doors were found in need of adjustment to ensure proper closure.
