PSCO observed electrician pull thermal sensor from Inert Gas Scrubber while testing temperature alarm, allowing inert gas escape into the engine room. Crew was unable to provide procedure on how to test sensor properly and safely. SOLAS 74 am II-2/4.5.5.1.1 50a

Resolution: On the basis of the above, it is in the opinion of the undersign surveyor that the ship is safe to sail. In addition functional tests of the steering gear system, from bridge, locally and in emergency mode, have been carried out with satisfactory results
