Cargo hose shall not be used in transfer operations in which the pressures are such that leakage of cargo occurs through the body of the hose. vessel sustained a half an inch crack on the weld for the 2" bypass line after the check valve causing a half of a cup of ethanol to spill onto the deck. Prior to the handling of future cargo operations, permit repairs must be made to me satisfaction of the Coast Guard. 46 CFR 35.35-70(a)
