SOLAS II-2 / 4.2.2.3.4. Oil fuel pipes which if damaged would allow oil to escape from a storage, settling or daily service tank having a capacity of 500L and above the double bottom shall be fitted with a lock or valve directly on the tank capable of being closed form a safe position outside of the space concerned in the event of a fire occuring in the space in which such tanks are situated. PSCE observed gags installed on 04 quick closing valves for fuel oil service tanks in engine room.

SOLAS III/34, LSA 5.1.1.1.1., LSA 4.4.6.11. Means shall be provided for recharging all engine starting radio and searchlight batteries. Radio batteries shall not be used to provide power for engine starting. Means shall be provided for recharging batteries from the ships power supply at a supply voltage not exceeding 50V which can be disconnected at the lifeboat embarkation station, or by means of a solar battery charger. Vessel has no installed means of charging rescue boat starting battery from ships power supply.
