Electrical installations shall be such that all electrical auxiliary services necessary for maintaining the ship in normal operational and habitable conditions will be ensured without recourse the the emergency source of electrical power. The vessel experienced a loss of electrical power due to water ingress compromising the main switchboard. This failure resulted in the inalienability to maintain essential shipboard systems. The vessel must enact permanent repairs to the satisfaction of ABS.
