The machinery space emergency escape does not provide for adequate means for the crew to efficiently exit the space. The current installation would require a crew member to climb 53 inches to access the first rung, does not have enough rungs to safely exit through the escape trunk, and is next to the starboard main engine's turbo which causes a hazard to the crew.
