No repairs or alterations affecting the safety of the vessel or its machinery shall be made unles applicable requirements in this chapter are met. A collision occurred resulting in damage to the tank barge GBL 5834. MI observed multiple large insets in the barge rake, damage to the deck, and broken frame iwo #1 cargo tank. 1. The barge is permitted to transit directly to Chevron in Panama City, FL to offload its current cargo. 2. Rounds must be conducted every 30 minutes to monitor the barge's condition. 3. The barge must submit a repair proposal for approval to effect permanent repairs. 4. The barge must remain in place at Chevron in Panama City, FL until the above is received and approved by a CG marine inspector.

Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
