The hull and deck houses shall be of steel or iron construction except that the pilothouse and decks over quarters may be constructed of wood. Scantlings, material, and workmanship, subdivision of cargo spaces, fitting of cofferdams, and testing of tanks shall be at least equivalent to the requirements of the American Bureau of Shipping or other recognized classification society. In way of the stern void compartment, commencing 12’ inboard of the port side and extending inboard 13’, transverse bilge knuckle is noted to be set in 0 - 4” to varying degrees with the adjacent hull bottom distorted in way. NO. 4: Number Four Compartment, just port of centerline, the hull bottom is noted to be set up 0 - 2” x 8’ for length of compartment. Plan of Action: Discharge the CBC 1702 at Stepan Joliet, fleeting IMT Channahon, then shift to shipyard TBD for permanent repairs. Upon arrival to Sephan Joliet, notify local CG OCMI too coordinate location and oversight of repairs. After discharge (NO) cargo ops until permanent repairs are conducted.
