A remote fuel shut-off valve must be fitted on any fuel line that supplies fuel to a propulsion engine or diesel generator. The valve must be installed in the fuel piping directly outside the fuel tank and must be operable from a safe place located outside of the spaces where the valve is located.
The vessel is not fitted with a remote means to operate fuel shut-off valves where the piping exits the fuel tank.

ON 29NOV21, OPERATOR REPORTED TO THIS OFFICE VIA EMAIL THAT THE VESSEL WAS HAVING REDUCTION GEAR ISSUES. THE COMPANY CHOSE TO TEMPORARILY TAKE THE VESSEL OUT OF SERVICE TO MAKE NECESSARY REPAIRS. OPERATOR INFORMED US THAT REPAIRS WOULD BE DONE SOMETIME THIS WEEK, HOWEVER THE ANNUAL COI INSPECTION IS DUE BY 01DEC21, OTHERWISE THE COI WILL EXPIRE. CONDUCTED COI ANNUAL INSPECTION TO AVOID COI EXPIRING.
