Machinery must be maintained to provide for safe operation of the vessel. Fracture on gage attached to air compressor was found and led to a loss of air throttle control, which rendered vessel dead in the water. Vessel must repair damage prior to getting underway.

Resolution: Technician report received stating the 3/8"x3" sch 40 nipple was replaced with a 3/8"x1" sch80 hydraulic nipple in addition to replacing the ball valve between the port and starboard air compressors. Both systems were tested and operating as intended.
