To maintain a valid Certificate of Inspection, you must complete your annual inspection within the periods specified in § 176.500(b)(1) and your Certificate of Inspection must be endorsed. Required annual inspection was missed and due no later than October 18, 2025.

Covered metal trash containers shall be provided in lounge areas. The waste receptacles found on the vessel at the time on inspection were made of a non-metal combustible material. 46 CFR 177.30-7(d)

All vessels shall be provided with life preservers suitable for children equal to 10 percent of the total number of persons carried. One of the vessel's five child life preservers was found to have an inoperable securing clip on the strap. 46 CFR 180.25-5(a)

A ship, except a ship of less than 26 feet in length, must have a placard of at least 5 by 8 inches, made of durable material fixed in a conspicuous place in each machinery space, or at the bilge and ballast pump control station, stating the following: Discharge of Oil Prohibited The Federal Water Pollution Control Act prohibits the discharge of oil or oily waste into or upon the navigable waters of the United States, or the waters of the contiguous zone, or which may affect natural resources belonging to, appertaining to, or under the exclusive management authority of the United States, if such discharge causes a film or discoloration of the surface of the water or causes a sludge or emulsion beneath the surface of the water. Violators are subject to substantial civil penalties and/or criminal sanctions including fines and imprisonment. Vessel did not have a placard onboard.

Propulsion machinery must be suitable in type and design and capable of operating at constant marine load. Starboard outboard engine inoperable. 46 CFR 182.200(a)

An inspection for renewal of certificate of inspection requires owner or operator to make vessel available for drills. Drills not conducted due to starboard engine failure. 46 CFR 176.404(a)

Repairs or alterations to machinery or equipment must not be made without the approval of the cognizant [name withheld] portable generator and lighting placed onboard vessel. 46 CFR 176.700(a)

At each inspection for certification all observed unsafe practices and other hazards must be corrected and in satisfactory condition. 8 glass window panes total (Port # 5,7,10,14,16; Starboard # 3,4,16) as numbered from bow, observed unsafe. 46 CFR 176.830(a)

Renew fuel vent hoses.

Remove flammables from vessel counter area.

Renew ring bouy due to UV deterioration.

Provide repair proposal for portside fuel tank supply line tank fitting which is currently stripped and repaired with epoxy.

Install retro-reflective tape on ring buoy and provide operational water light.

Repair cracked engine cowling for starboard outboard engine.

Provide (1) additional fire bucket, properly marked with lanyard.

Provide (60') of bouyant line for ring bouy.

Provide proper lifejacket donning placard for lifejackets onboard.

Remove wire nuts and properly install wiring for stern light, IAW 46 CFR 183.340

Replace grab lines on life ring

Post donning placard for life jackets.

Complete permanent repairs during next dry dock to deck.

Repairs to wasted deck on the port bow are to be completed. Proposal shall be submitted prior to work commencing.

Numerous cracked welds were detected in the outboard engine mounting brackets. Welds are to be ground and rewelded.

Gauging of pontoons IWO pitting is to be conducted and results provided prior to issuance of a COI.

Vessel is to provide (2) 2.5 gallon fire buckets, appropriately marked and provided with lanyards IAW 46 CFR 181.610.
