Span gas used for calibration of the inert gas system were found to be in use beyond their expiration dates which are listed on bottles as APR2014 and MAR2017. Replace/provide non-expired span gas. FSS CODE CH15/2.2.1.1

The Safety Management System (SMS) should ensure compliance with mandatory rules and regulations. The vessel did not have a valid ISSC between 19OCT2020 and 18NOV2020. As part of the Alternate Compliance Program, the vessel must comply with all international conventions. Make proper repairs and prove operation of Rescue Boat outboard engine to the satisfaction of the attending classification surveyor and Coast Guard Marine Inspector. Vessel is authorized a substitution of a non-approved rescue boat outboard engine, 25 HP Yamaha until repairs are made.
