Vessel experienced a loss of steering on 12AUG2018 while transiting within the port of New York/New Jersey. Vessel rep believe it is a bad solenoid (DCV) and had placed an order for a new DCV. COTP 105-18 was issued to the vessel from SEC NY.

Resolution: Vessel rep replaced the failed solenoid on the #2 steering pump, conducted satisfactory operation test and verified the movement of the rudder from back deck.
