All tank vessels are subject to the regulations contained in parts 50 to 63, inclusive, of subchapter F (Marine Engineering) of this chapter, whenever applicable. After being struck in a marine casualty, a cargo pipe presure gauge was damaged, potentially compromising the integrity of the cargo pipe at the union of the pressure gauge/cargo pipe, or other pipe unions. Effect permanent repairs, and verify pipe integrity through a leak test, to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector. Vessel is not authorized to conduct cargo until rectified. Vessel may shift from oil dock to layberth to effect repairs.

Resolved 4 December 2022
Resolution: Technician from Kirby Houston repaired the gauge and insured no further damage was sustained to the cargo piping. Marine inspector witnessed a leak test and cargo operations at the full rate of transfer, 80 psi. No leaks or cracks were detected.
