Each towing vessel 79 feet or more on oceans/coastwise routes that does not have an installed fixed fire-extinguishing system must have 2 self-contained breathing apparatus( SCBA). Annual maintenance, testing, and repairs typically require expertise of factory-certified technicians and is done in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. Identify manufacturer recommendations for SCBAs onboard and provide Coast Guard with the requirements.
