The crew admitted to using an unapproved incinerator or burn barrel for garbage incineration on the previous international voyage. This is not in accordance with the vessel's garbage plan which states that all garbage shall be retained onboard and removed ashore by an approved reception facility. An approved incinerator is not onboard or listed on the EIAPP Certificate. The use of a burn barrel is not authorized.
