Every line above is a count of records the US Coast Guard wrote, or a date it recorded.
A blank resolution means none was recorded in this data; it does not establish that a
deficiency is outstanding. Years with a record are calendar years in which a record
exists, not years in service. What Maury does
not do.

· how its record compares with hulls of similar age and size, as a fact about the
population and never a judgement about this vessel.

The Coast Guard recorded this vessel and the following in the same
inspection activity — normally a tug and the barges in its tow. Only barges and towing
vessels are in this archive, so any other vessel type in the same activity does not
appear here: these lists are a floor, not a complete manifest.
No extensive repairs to the hull or machinery which affect the safety of a vessel shall be made without the knowledge of the Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection. Vessel involved in marine casualty striking a pier. Crack located 3 feet inboard of port stern box corner extending from 4 inches below deck down 22 inches. Crack is approximately 8-10 inches above waterline at fully loaded condition. Temporary epoxy patch in place witnessed by MSU LC Marine Inspector. Discharge current cargo of lube oil in Texas City and proceed with empty barge to shipyard in Sector Houston AOR for permanent repairs to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector.
